Game Day Chili Lime Shrimp and Guacamole Tostada Recipe

These crispy, tangy tostadas are the perfect food to eat while you watch the game...or for any meal, any day of the week!

Servings 12 Tostadas

Ingredients

  • 24 oz peeled raw shrimp
  • 12 to stada shells
  • 2 t chili powder
  • 1 t cumin
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil + more for panfrying
  • 2-3 minced garlic cloves
  • Handful of chopped cilantro
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 8 oz package of Wholly Guacamole
  • Toppings: cherry tomatoes sour cream, cilantro, jalapeño

Instructions

Method

Marinate the shrimp:

  1. Place shrimp into a Ziploc bag or sealed container and add the lime juice, cilantro, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and 1/4 cup olive oil.
  2. Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

Cook the shrimp:

  1. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a frying or grill pan.
  2. Fry the shrimp over medium heat, turning once until browned on both sides. Don’t overcook!
  3. Serve shrimp with tostada shells, Wholly Guacamole and toppings.
