Orange smash popsicles

Sure, popsicles are mainly a treat for kids, but I’m alllll about an adult treat to enjoy on the back patio with my friends. These fit the bill very well, and unlike a lot of spiked treats, they’re not overly sweet. Florida Orange Juice provides the perfect sweetness and refreshing taste for these gin smash popsicles without any added sugar! Plus vitamin C, folate, and potassium, and of course, the Florida Orange Juice taste that we all know and love. It’s just like a cocktail on a stick! I know you’re totally ready to dig into these….trust me, I am too. I made them for a group of my friends who came over for a socially-distant meetup on my front porch/stairs. We stood in the sun with these pops and enjoyed them…one of my friend even had two! They were the perfect accompaniment to the hot day.

What You’ll Need To Make Florida Orange Juice Gin Smash Popsicles

  • Florida Orange Juice
  • gin
  • fresh mint leaves

How To Make These Popsicles

  • Chop the mint leaves as finely as you can, then place in a measuring cup or small bowl. Add 1/4 cup of the fresh orange juice, and muddle the mint with the juice.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and pass through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the mint leaves. Some small leaf particles might pass through the strainer, which is fine.
  • Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze.

Tips

  • To easily get the popsicles out of their molds, run the outside of the mold in warm water for a couple of seconds to loosen it.
  • For the best tasting end result, be sure to use Florida Orange Juice
  • Don’t have a popsicle mold? No problem! Use a plastic cup instead and cover the top with saran wrap and poke a hole through to hold up the popsicle stick.
